Plan Ahead for 2022
Dear Members,
“The winds of change are a blowing……….”.
Well at the moment, it feels like they are gale forced!!!
Last year we sent a similar letter out to all Co-op Members asking for everyone to be organised as soon as possible for the upcoming season. That letter was sent out at the start of January 2021 and at the time I remember thinking “Great, that will be plenty of time for everyone to get ready and sorted.” Generally speaking, it worked out quite well with product supply being fairly reasonable, except for a few actives that were possibly impacted by an earlier start to the season than we have had in recent times.
I don’t think our next season will be quite as smooth sailing!!
Uncertainty in supply and pricing is already proving to be difficult to cope with and I am sure that some of you might be feeling a bit uneasy about what the future might bring.
I don’t confess to knowing all the answers, in fact far from it, but what I do know is that we have a better chance of getting through these uncertain times by working together and helping each other.
It is now imperative that you look forward into next year and start making some decisions as to what products you may require for next season. The Boyup Brook Co-op, along with Nutrien as our main supplier group, can no longer have a “Just in time” mentality for your Ag Chemical, Animal Health, Seed and Fertiliser requirements. The earlier we know what you may need, the better chance we will have of supplying you with these products.
Remember, 100% guarantee of supply is when the product you need is on farm and ready to go!!
Please know that we are working very hard behind the scenes here at the Boyup Brook Co-op to ensure that you have what you need for your business and we have already placed a great deal of forward orders to try and cover these needs.
DON’T PANIC……………just be Organised!!!
