Nufarm Trial Opportunity
Product Demonstration Trial Sites Required

Nufarm have approached the Boyup Brook Co-op to help coordinate three trials where growers will have the opportunity to observe newly released products on their farms.
As a grower, being part of a product demonstration allows you to experience the performance of various products on your farm to assist you in making more informed decisions in the future. Allowing demonstrations to be on farmland can also assist growers who want to understand how to conduct their own trials in the future for products they believe have benefits for their operation. The three demonstrations Nufarm are looking to undertake are:
- Knock-down prior to sowing Canola, Lupins and Cereals
- Terrad’or is used for the control and brownout of a range of grass and broadleaf weeds.
- Required land: Requires a glyphosate + spike to control a range of grass and broadleaf weeds prior to sowing.
- Pasture manipulation
- Thistrol Gold is used for the control of broadleaf weeds amongst clovers, medics, grasses and chicory pastures in a post emergent setting. Clovers and medics require only 2 trifoliate leaves for the product being applied.
- Required land: Pastures containing high amounts of germinated capeweed.
- Radish control in cereals
- Unity (carfentrazone) and Maya (Bromoxynil SC formulation), a novel tank mix to reduce reliance on existing chemistry using a new bromoxynil formulation (SC).
- Required land: cereal crops going into paddocks with known issues controlling radish.
Expenses for the products used will be covered by Nufarm. Where replicated trials are set up, Nufarm will conduct them for the grower on the property. Once the trials are complete, Nufarm wishes to provide an opportunity for growers and agronomists in the area to visit the site and observe the outcome of the demonstration, arrangements for these visits can at the convenience of the grower holding the trials. Currently there are only three sites required so only a select few growers will be selected! If you miss out, please let us know if you will still be interested in taking part in future product demonstrations and trials.
